It always gets me, the lyrics to Coney Island, by Van Morrison. This is mainly because of a youth spent riding along this same coast on various motorbikes, generally alone, always enjoying the view and the peace.
As the man says: “And all the time going to coney island I’m thinking,
Wouldn’t it be great if it was like this all the time.”
My name is Peter Holloway and having lived in Southport, England for 20 years, followed by a couple of years back in Northern Ireland I’m now working as an IT Manager in West Sussex. I was born in Northern Ireland and raised in the suburbs of Belfast just off the Saintfield Road, attended Cairnshill Primary School and Annadale Grammar School.
