As you can see from many of my photos, one of the things I like to do is take images that have no definite focal point. I think there’s a calmness about this sort of image that makes it less striking at first glance, but much more restful in the long term and something that you can grow familiar with, just as you would with the view out of a window. It’s the sort of thing I’d like to hang on my wall.
This shot was taken at the top of Lough Neagh at Antrim’s Lough Shore Park. The water was calm and the sky was soft and subtle. The whole package was restful to watch, and I think this image captures something of how I felt looking out along the lough.
