By 2:30pm all the jobs on my ‘must complete’ list were done, high tide was at 3pm, so I took a drive down the coast to Ainsdale. It was a pleasant afternoon with just a hint of spring, and the beach was almost empty.
I placed the tripod a couple of yards from the incoming tide and attached my new B+W 110 10 stop filter. The exposure took 60 seconds and the result is this:
