Despite receiving over 15,000 complaints the BBC is determined to press ahead with their controversial screening of Jerry Springer’s ‘The Opera’. This is 10 times the number of complaints received regarding the screening of ‘The Last Temptation of Christ’ and shows the extent to which this offends the British public who the BBC are mandated to serve.
I personally find the thought of my money contributing to this blasphemy highly disturbing. If all 15,000 offended individuals cancelled their TV license perhaps then the BBC would take notice. What a shame that a company with such a reputation for good programming should sink to such a low.
What do we do with the time we spent watching TV once our licenses are gone? Perhaps a detox diet of helpful material from God’s Word would get us all back to spiritual fitness….
